On 24th May 2026, Rosie and Sarah from Diamond & Son Funeral Directors will be taking on the Sussex Marathon Challenge — a 26.2-mile walking marathon from Turners Hill to Brighton, the second half of the London to Brighton Ultra.
The challenge, called Diamond’s Final Journey, is being completed in support of Oakhaven Hospice, a charity that holds a very special place in both Rosie and Sarah’s hearts.
Through their roles at Diamond & Son, Rosie and Sarah support families during some of life’s most difficult moments, helping guide loved ones through their final journey with care, dignity, and compassion. They know first-hand how important hospices like Oakhaven are in providing comfort and support to patients and families when they need it most.
Both Rosie and Sarah have personal connections to Oakhaven, having seen friends and family cared for by the hospice over the years. Inspired by the incredible work the charity does for the local community, they are aiming to raise £225 each to support its vital services.
“This will be a huge physical and mental challenge for both of us, but one we’re proud to be doing in support of such an important cause. Every donation, no matter how small, will help support the incredible care Oakhaven provides.”
